At right: Goalie Blake Smaldone and two subsequent teammates got plenty of offensive help in Saturday's home-opening win.
In the first meeting between the programs, Eastern led 17-2 at halftime on the strength of a 41-11 advantage in shots, and added four goals on 14 shots in the second half. Excluding a fourth-string goalie, all 41 available players saw action. Fifteen players scored at least one goal, and nine added at least one assist.
First-year players scoring their first goals were Matt Ikawa (Hampton, NH), Colin Davis (Hebron), Tim Reilly (Hanover, MA) and Richie Miller (Weston).
