Following Thursday's snow storm, the Warriors moved indoors to continue preparation for their 2017 opener in two weeks at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy under 11th-year head coach Christine Hutchison. Eastern returns ten starters and 17 letterwinners from last year's team which shared the Little East Conference regular-season title and won its most games (11) since 2012. Among the team's returning starters are three-time All-LEC seniors Devyne Doran and Paige Schneider. Last year, Doran was named LEC Defensive Player-of-the-Year, Schneider LEC Midfielder-of-the-Year, and Michelina Pinto Rookie-of-the-Year. In addition to Doran, Schneider and Pinto, additional All-LEC returnees are senior goalie Taylor Emmerson and junior defender Taylor Behn.
